In Darfur, the new war broke out in 2003. Nearly 70,000 people have died because of violence, hunger, and disease and 2 million people have been forced to flee from their homes. The violence is still going on. Some of survivors have reached IDP (Internally Displaced People) camps where they receive food, but others are isolated and not receiving any aid. All of these people are struggling for on a daily basis. This is a reportage on Darfur, photographed from both government and rebel sides. These pictures were taken from October 2004 to January 2005.
