Despite being based in London for so long, do you still feel
moments when you are reminded that you are Japanese?
Outside of administrative affairs,
maybe not. London is a town with many different nationalities, so the topic of
where you are from comes up quite a bit. But it is nice to know the language and the feeling when
watching Japanese films.
Do you have a common point of interest in visual and sound?
Something that piques the curiosity. Surrealism.
When do you get inspiration and ideas that start your creations?
Depending on my feelings, I think that if you are doing
something at that moment, you can take it from there.
Do you carry notebooks with you to draw down such ideas?
Notebooks and sketchbooks are great, but I cannot use them
properly, so I often use folded A4 or small paper.
