Machines Have Emotions (MHE) is a predecessor to Drumetrics, how did this project begin and what kind of sounds were you pursuing there?MHE started with The Gaslamp Killer (a.k.a. William) back then and myself circa 2001. He had a heavy vinyl collection of rare records with breaks and samples which he would provide for me to utilize with my MPC 2000. We started doing shows together where I would play on my MPC and he would be on the turntables blending in vinyl sounds and vocals with effects. We were inspired by the breaks/underground hip hop and trip hop.
