BL00M is a dynamic digital garden of painted flowers. While interacting with the crypto market, each flower blossoms as the price of the artwork rises, or slowly wilts if the market falls. This experimental commentary on the complex relationship between art and value is bringing to life an NFT digital ecosystem, which is grounded in self-awareness.
This series is inspired by the Tulip Mania, a period during the Dutch Golden Age when prices for bulbs of the newly introduced tulip reached exceptionally high levels, beginning in 1634 and then suddenly dropping in February 1637. It is often regarded as the first documented speculative bubble in history.
