Front de Cadeaux

It seems that your DJ style is basically back-to-back, but if you are still surprised or amused by the way your partner comes out even after almost 10 years, please tell us about it in detail.
MaurizioWe do not live in the same city and therefore we do not prepare any DJ sets. So it is not uncommon for us to be respectively surprised and or amused by a track that we haven’t ever heard before, but fortunately we usually know how to bounce back.
UgoAs said before, it’s the pleasure of the unknown, as most of the tracks Maurizio plays are unknown to me, and the same for him. We actually have some main pathways: balearic, cosmic, acid, breaks, deep— but we love to mix them up. We also have some differences in the way we mix. This surprises me every time and makes me love Maurizio’s attitude more each time.
Do you still DJ individually? Do you take a different approach to DJing than F2C?
MaurizioWe each have our solo career. I can play very different styles (techno, dub, house etc.) as it depends on the party. The concept of the wrong speed is more reserved to the Front de Cadeaux project.
UgoI do have a collective in Rome called Tropicantesimo and a studio called Pescheria. I do DJ with other DJs in Rome, and of course the F2C attitude and research is part of these other experiences.
