Radim Peško
Profile


Radim Peško (1976) is a designer. In 2010, he established his RP Digital Type Foundry which specializes in typefaces that are both formally and conceptually distinctive, and are currently used by many individuals and institutions around the world. His work includes the identity for Secession Vienna, various projects for Moravian Gallery in Brno, and books for Bedford Press in London among others. He has created original typefaces for the visual identities of museums such as Boijmans Museum in Rotterdam; Eastside Projects in Birmingham; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; Aspen Art Museum; Fridericianum in Kassel, Graham Foundation in Chicago, and Krabbesholm Højskole, as well as for the fashion brand Paco Rabbane. His long term collaborations include a wide range of projects for artist Kateřina Šedá, where the role of design has been constantly redefined and put into question. His participation in exhibitions includes ‘Graphic design in production’ in Minneapolis and New York, and ‘Graphic Design Worlds’ at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Since 2011, he has served as a chairman and part of the curatorial board of the International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno, and curated two of its editions: the 26th Brno Biennial 2014 and the 27th Brno Biennial 2016. Between 2006~2012, he was a tutor at Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam and has lectured at many schools worldwide. He currently teaches Master Type Design at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland and ISIA Urbino, Italy. He lives and works in London.
