I want
to always have an element of real experimentation in what I am doing and this
means that sometimes pieces really don’t work out—that
there is a certain amount of failure at play. Obviously I prefer when things
come together and are a success, but I wouldn’t want to trade safe successes
for what can be discovered through experimentation.
