It seems you’ve stepped away from art projects in recent years. Would you say that’s due to factors like time, ideas, or motivation?
As a father of two with a house to pay for and an agency to run, time is really limited. Almost all my gear got stolen some time ago, and I didn’t feel an urge to replace it. We moved away from Berlin two years ago, and my focus hasn’t been on art recently, though I can’t entirely say why. It’s probably a mix of lack of time, energy, and focus. Only recently have I started thinking about making art again. I’ve tried experimenting here and there, but I realized I need a small studio space to get into my flow. I can’t quite get in the zone in the little office we have at home, so I’m currently looking for an affordable workspace.
Do you have any plans to start a new art project in the near future? What themes or motifs are you considering for your next work? I’d love to hear as much as you’re able to share.
Let’s just say I’m planning to try some new things. I’d also like to keep Luminant Point Arraysgoing. I think the series is far from exhausted visually. And I have no problem anymore with being the “TV guy”—I feel that alone would be quite an achievement.
