Ai (Haku.)

Profile

Ai is the vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of the four-piece band Haku. Born in 2002 in Tochigi and raised in Osaka, she grew up surrounded by music, singing in choir from an early age and playing percussion in her middle school brass band. Just before entering high school, she picked up the guitar and began performing seriously in the band club. In 2019, she formed Haku. with Nazuna (Gt), Kano (Ba/Cho), and Mayu (Dr). True to the meaning of their name—“Haku.” translating to “white”—the band embraces a sense of freedom that can take on any color. Through Ai’s translucent yet powerful vocals and words woven from her distinctive sensibility, their music captures shifting emotions and delicate fragments of the heart. In 2023, Haku. released their first album, Bokurajanakyadameninatte. In September 2025, they made their major-label debut on Toy’s Factory with the single Soreshikaienai, marking another step forward in their steadily evolving journey.
