Every individual sound that appears in Frank Bretschneider’s work is as if it is a transparent living organism. Each seemingly has its own personality and volition, and they flow pleasurably—neither being repressed nor becoming stagnant. As  you close your eyes and lend your ears to that music, jumping, floating and softly sinking into the depths, you find yourself filled with the feeling of that you have become one of the sounds, and your body sways naturally. It’s not merely falling into the beat, it’s the sensation of being absorbed by and harmonizing with the music.

The works created during his long and productive career present to us the various shapes and possibilities that music possesses. One of the pioneers of experimental electronic music, he has garnered much respect and admiration yet he clings to nothing but his utmost desire to continue his journey of music creation. He has said music is open, dynamic and flowing and the same could be applied to the man himself.
