Hideki Inaba is a graphic designer and visual artist.
He quickly shot to prominence in the late 1990s for his revolutionary designs and work for publications such as +81magazine, the early installments of the GAS BOOK series, and SAL Magazine. In 2004 he released the “NEWLINE” graphic art series, marking a turn more towards self-produced projects. Inaba’s graphic art has appeared on the cover of Graphic Design Now Taschen (Germany) and in many books from publishers such as Laurence King and Die Gestalten. He has also held exhibitions in locations like the Louvre in Paris, 3331 Arts Chiyoda, the National Museum of Malaysia, and the National Art Center, Tokyo, as well as solo shows such as “9010 Hideki Inaba” at the Mitsubishi Artium and the +81 Gallery. In 2011 Inaba’s work was selected as a jury recommendation at the Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Art Festival, after which he was invited to show his work and speak at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Inaba has also done many fashion projects, collaborating with the likes of agnès b and Shu Uemura in 2007, and since 2010 has been creating graphics for Louis Vuitton.
