Ignasi Monreal is an artist from Barcelona working in digital art, painting, ceramics, product & set design, creative direction, animation and film.
Known for his trompe l’oeil paintings of dirty dishes or Plats Bruts and his celebrated collaborations with Gucci, Cartier, Bulgari and many other luxury brands and global companies, his work also achieved mainstream exposure through his collaborations in the music industry and more recently with the creation of an original set for Swan Lake at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
Ignasi had his first solo exhibition Plats Bruts at La Fresh Gallery and later that year he exhibited Mi manchi come il WiFi at Studio Stefania Miscetti in Rome. Towards the end of 2020, Ignasi created his first public piece Habemus WiFi for the iconic Edificio Plaza España in Madrid and in 2022 he presented a new series of Plats Bruts under the exhibition Sobremesa at Palazzo Monti in Brescia.
