2025.5.5 update

Welcome to

the state of Nigh

Nigh’s new project “Nigh State” debuts at the Pop-Up on May 9 with collaborative items by Let LOOSE and Somewhere in Tokyo.

Nigh State debuts at the Nigh Pop-Up, opening on May 8. This text introduces the concept behind the new project and the collaborations with Let LOOSE and Somewhere in Tokyo.

Nigh State is a product brand and an extension of the experimentation and exploration nurtured through the making of Nigh Magazine. The name itself suggests a “state of Nigh”―not just in a literal sense, but also as a distinct feeling, a state of awareness. A world that Nigh envisions, a kind of sensory echo that rises when one engages with its objects―Nigh State is an invitation into that space.

If Nigh Magazine creates a “world you can’t touch” online, then Nigh State turns that world into something you can hold in your hands. It expands beyond conventional cycles and styles, building a new standard―its own state―through products. With original graphics and collaborations with brands we connect with on a sensory level, we continue to pursue an open, intuitive approach.

For this first chapter of Nigh State, we begin with collaborations with two brands: Let LOOSE and Somewhere in Tokyo.

T-shirts

SS25-www01
¥22,000-

Size (Length / Width / Shoulder / Sleeve ―cm)
S: 64.0 / 48.0 / 42.5 / 20.0
M: 69.0 / 54.5 / 50.5 / 22.5
L: 73.0 / 57.0 / 53.5 / 22.5
XL: 79.0 / 60.0 / 55.0 / 24.5

Made with densely knit jersey cotton that gains character over time, this T-shirt features a tough yet soft handfeel that settles gently against the skin. The silhouette draws inspiration from ‘90s tees―casual and boxy, with a balanced length and width. The front features a still from the motion graphics of Nigh Issue 4, while the back carries an original Nigh graphic.

S-M: 58.5 cm

Tote Bag

SS25-www03
¥13,200-

Size:
H 46.5 × W 45 × D 9.5 cm

A deceptively simple tote made with high-density cotton that develops rich character with use. The brushed texture and sturdy-yet-soft fabric make it both practical and expressive. Spacious enough to hold about 10 twelve-inch records. Features double handles for handheld, shoulder, or crossbody use.

Let LOOSE is a brand where every process―from design and cutting to sewing and production―is carried out by the designer himself. Time and care are poured into each piece, building density through the quiet repetition of handwork. In the details, there’s a subtle texture, a flicker of irregularity, a warmth that lingers. We resonated deeply with this way of making. For this collaboration too, he sourced the fabrics, stitched the pieces, and exchanged ideas with us through countless refinements―until the forms quietly came together. Each product holds a value that could never emerge from mass production.

All items from this collaboration will be made to order and available in limited quantities.

T-shirts

SFJ-25S-NM-01
¥7,700 -

Crafted from a 9.6oz original fabric developed by the brand, this heavyweight T-shirt is soft to the touch yet opaque and substantial. The relaxed boxy silhouette is designed to be worn by all genders. A Nigh State logo sits on the front, while the back carries a message―one you just might nod to if it caught your eye on a floor wrapped in deep sound.

Somewhere in Tokyo began as a space that would quietly appear “somewhere” in the city, moving lightly across cultures―art, music, fashion, food. Lifting the blank and anonymous corners of the city, and giving them shape through humor, they’ve offered these gestures as “neo-souvenirs.” For this Pop-Up, they’ve also been deeply involved in shaping the overall experience. When we floated the idea of creating “something to take home on the spot,” we landed on a simple proposal: placing Nigh’s graphic on their original T-shirt body. Their ability to conceive and carry through ideas is reassuring―and more than that, it’s the shared gaze toward counterculture, held with equal intensity, that made this collaboration feel so natural.

The item with Somewhere in Tokyo will be available for advance purchase at the Pop-Up―something you can take home right then and there, as a neo-souvenir.

We invite you to come by and feel the texture and atmosphere of each piece in person.
