We tend to value things that $value is assigned to. We hope that art (and all industries) can reconsider what is valuable.

P.A.M.
Interview (2020)

It has been 20 years since the launch of your brand. How do you personally capture of the growth and changes of PAM?
Shauna:For me, PAM isn’t separated from other parts of my life, in the way that someone might “go to work” and have “work friends” etc. PAM is in my life, it’s a part of how I live. How I see things, how I travel and experience. In 20 years, I have grown and changed, I have gained understandings; but at the same time, understandings change over time as the world changes. I also know there’s a lot still to learn and experience and I am excited about that.
What is PAM to you now? Also, please tell us your thoughts on possibilities that PAM has for the future.
Shauna:It’s still in my life. I know it will continue to develop and evolve and devolve. Mutation is important to us. I would like it if PAM can continue to be a voice.
Misha:PAM is our voice. Right now [there are] soooo many projects, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share ideas on positivity, creativity, change, and energy.
I think there were many pleasures as well as difficulties in the process of continuing one brand for 20 years. Please tell us what you were able to do because you are a couple.
Shauna:I think I am too close to know and the relationship is so tight it’s hard to know what’s him and what’s me, or if that’s really worth the effort to try to understand. The relationship Misha and I have is very special, we knew that from the start. We had both had relationships before we met each other; but when we met, the whole world changed and we made a connection [which] was so strong that it took over both of us. I think we recognised that we had to build a world together. It was a compulsion without thought or reason. It just felt so right. So, here we are 20 years later, still in love and on an adventure. We still have a strong sense of purpose and wonderment.
