Was the idea for Positive Messages created as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic? At the beginning of the spread of COVID-19, how did you grasp the situation at the time, and also could you tell us how this connected to the
idea of Positive Messages?
Shauna:We felt overwhelmed by the magnitude of the dire information that was being sent every minute though news feeds and social media, and conversations IRL in real life. We wanted to offer a space to share other information that could make us feel good about our present moment, not be in fear of what was to come. It’s not to down play the situation with pandemic; it was just to give some space to for a different focus to help us and others deal with the situation.
