Afterwords
Despite
what I said in the introduction, I myself have had periods of depression from
the pandemic, and I think this is more or less the same for everyone. There is
a tendency that nothing goes your way if you dwell on these feelings, but it
goes without saying that it is difficult to force yourself to pretend to be
positive. The most difficult part of the pandemic for me was that the
opportunity to have my body taken over and surrounded by the finest music in
the great outdoors was taken away from me. In this
unprecedented situation some might say this is overreaction, but for me it is a
big deal. This affected me not only in the way that I could not relieve
stress. But the act of entrusting myself to an atmosphere with beautiful music
was a way for my thoughts to clear a haze, allowing me to translate my thoughts
into words and was my source of new ideas. Furthermore, meeting and talking
with people in these gatherings allowed me to imagine and discover new ideas.
Losing this was like one of my channels for thought being blocked.
Under these circumstances, the various encounters that came through the coverage of this magazine became my main source of reliance. I was always amazed by their endless ingenuity and the new insights into their ideas and the truths they speak. The inspiration received is irreplaceable, broadens horizons and refreshes your way of thinking. Also, by opening your heart and learning your own senses, connecting, and accepting your true feelings, your honest intentions become clearer. It is impossible to experience enough to be satisfied by just by accepting the popular opinion and going with the flow. You must grasp it for yourself with your own values and judgment.
In fact, I went to one of the few outdoor music festivals that has not been canceled this summer. It was held on the top of a scenic mountain, where music lovers gathered and was the organized with thorough preparation, effort, and determination. We were able to spend precious and most valuable time paying respects to one another in the order of our own creating. There were moments in which I could taste and moments where I could see views that only could be experienced because I was actually there. Everyone who shared that experience praised the organizer's determination and thanked them from the bottom of their hearts, but there were a lot of criticisms from the public about the festival. In the present day when diversity is screaming a slogan, public opinion is used as a shield and a barrage of criticism is applied without even giving an effort to listen to the opinions of the minority is unreasonable. Who will open the door to the next, the one who just throws complaints without a definite intention, or the one who believes in himself with morals and determination and acts? Will we see the dawn of a new age?
We want to open our blocked channels and continue to dance freely without the fear of stagnation. We want to believe in ourselves, knowing that we are nothing, and believe in something that moves our heart. And we also want to share it purely and properly, this feeling will hopefully become the "unchanging thing" of Nigh Magazine in the future.
